At this moment I am collecting money to sponsor micro-credit programs for Congo war survivors (mainly rape victims) through Women for Women International and Kiva. 100% of the money will be used to support women’s business ventures.

Goals

1. To teach English in a Kabul mountainside village (I teach English at least 4 times a week. I have 8 students altogether).

2. Sky-dive to raise the funds to buy school supplies for Zabuli girls school in Deh Subz village in Kabul (completed).

3. Volunteer in an elephant conservation centre in Thailand and India (thinking of Thailand in Dec).

4. Raise funds to help 10 destitute families in Kabul

5. Sponsor micro-credit lending for a collective through Women for Women International’s micro-credit programs and Kiva.com.

6. Raise the awareness of Congo war survivors and the profiles of small clinics and projects aimed at healing victims of rape and empowering them through micro-credit lending.

Helen Keller

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.

Buddha

We are not a permanent, unchanging self; we flow like water, with no place to abide. So with no safe place to stand, the bodhisattva flies, flies on the wings of compassion and wisdom

Thoreau

I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary... In proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.
